Based at our Wetherill Park, Sydney facility, the Production Assistant reports to the Components Workshop Manager, and is responsible for contributing to and supporting our ever-growing team here at MASPRO.

With a culture of innovation, we continually tested and trialled various methods of manufacturing to meet demand, investing in cutting-edge technology, highly skilled people and rigorous quality processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, priming, and painting of components and equipment
• Perform tasks such as masking, sanding and cleaning to ensure surfaces are ready for painting
• Prepare and pack items for shipping and delivery according to company standards
• Move and handle materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist with the assembly, preparation, or finishing of components as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the work areas
• Follow all workplace health and safety policies, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Adhere to safe manual handling practices and report any hazards or safety concerns
• Participate in safety training and comply with all company and industry standards
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines
• Perform assigned tasks independently, ensuring quality and efficiency
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow

Experience

• Prior experience in a production or painting environment is an advantage but not essential
• Basic understanding of safe manual handling practices

MASPRO is an Australian-owned and operated engineering and manufacturing company that focuses on improving product design and the manufacturing of high-quality drill parts, components and assemblies to improve equipment life and performance equal to, or better than, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) in the hard rock mining industry.

At MASPRO our parts are re-designed to prevent recurring issues and manufactured right here in Australia to meet local specifications. With OEM parts produced globally, there isn’t the same opportunity to make modifications for local applications or conditions.

All of our parts for underground and surface applications are engineered for safety, reliability and productivity to improve efficiency and performance in mining operations.
